Ninghan Park
We offer a real Farmstay experience for families, tourists or business people. Whether meandering your way up or down the coast, on your way up to Monkey Mia, Coral Bay or beyond. Even if you are on business and need to break your journey, Ninghan Park offers peace and tranquility with stunning views conveniently located on the North West Coastal Highway, in the heart of Western Australia’s Coral Coast.
Our surroundings
We are in the small hamlet of Isseka, just outside the heritage listed town of Northampton, well worth a look, 25 minutes from Geraldton. Northampton has everything you need including a tourist information centre, takeaways, supermarket & ATM, chemist, NAB bank, general store, post office, doctors surgery and hospital, two roadhouses and most importantly three pubs.
Life is a beach
Our rural setting is only a stones throw from the small seaside hideaway of Horrocks, which is a lovely little resort and child friendly beach. The fishing is good at Lucky Bay which is a top secret location near to Horrocks (oops). Even closer to us at Ninghan Park is the world renowned windsurfing ‘mecca’ of Coronation beach. We offer the closest Farmstay accommodation to Coronation beach and the opportunity to wash off all that salt and sand.
Just down from this beach is the site of the proposed Oakajee deep water Port whose development will facilitate large scale iron ore export to China and help the region grow economically.
Kalbarri and the ‘Brolos’
Just over an hour away is one of the most popular attractions of Western Australia, Kalbarri & the spectacular gorges and attractions of the National Park. This is quite developed spot with restaurants, cafes and shops etc. but retains WA charm and space in abundance and has lovely beaches. On the way to Kalbarri is Port Gregory with the dramatic pink lake. Also this is where fish apparently throw themselves into your boat (or so I have been told). You could always go off the deep end and explore the magical Abroholos islands just off the coast of Geraldton offering fishing, diving, crayfish and where the infamous Batavia was shipwrecked and the start of an amazing story.
Wildflowers, country charm and ghosts
If everlastings float your boat then come and stay with us at the end of the winter, there are plenty of wildflowers to see around and about. You can base your stay with us and explore. The Chapman Valley is a lovely drive with rolling countryside. Attractions include a fish farm is the ocean disappoints, a vineyard to sample a drop of WA, the hot tub quality of Unique Creek, olives to feast on and lavender by the bunch. If Ghosts are your thing along with cream teas just down the road is Oakabella Homestead, built in 1860 and is one of the most haunted in WA. If you don’t spot any ghosts, your host Loretta is most accommodating
Across the Border
Up the road on the way to Kalbarri is the The Hutt River Province who declared independence from Australia in 1970.You should give Prince Leopold a call and make sure he is in. He does his grocery shopping in Northampton on a Friday morning.
Whatever your travel plans Ninghan Park is a perfect stopover location when traveling up or down the coast as we are conveniently located on the highway. We are safe and secure and child & family friendly.
